Gusau, Zamfara State – Governor Bello Mohammed Matawall on Wednesday April 6 distributed 260 cars to the traditional chiefs of Zamfara State.

Reported Daily Confidence that the all-new vehicles, including a 2019 Cadillac model, were distributed to 17 Emirs, 13 Senior District Managers and 230 District Managers across the state.

This was announced in a statement released by Zailani Bappa, Special Advisor for Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications.

The distribution was carried out by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar 111 as Matawall commanded the state-of-the-art headquarters of the Ulama State Council.

According to Matawall, the gesture was made in recognition of the status of the traditional institution as the guardian of religion and culture and a vehicle of cohesion and peace in societies, Nigerian Tribune added.

The Sultan speaking at the Government House in Gusau expressed his gratitude to the Governor for his interest in the welfare of the traditional institution.

He called on the beneficiaries to continue to support the administration of Matawall by doing their best.
